By no means! By the moon, 32 By the receding night 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning unto humankind 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 about the sinners. 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
