Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay! By the moon 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 a warning to mortal man 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 we fed not the needy, 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
