No! By the moon 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 a warning to mortal man 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 Until the certainty of death had come upon us. 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As if they were startled donkeys - 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
