Nay, by the Moon 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 A warning to mortals, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
