Nay, by the Moon 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
