Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 By the receding night 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 A warning for people -- 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
