No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 Warn the men. 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
