Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 Warn the men. 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
