By the moon, 32 by the retreating night, 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 Warn the men. 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
