Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
