By the moon, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 we fed not the needy, 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
