No, by the moon! 32 By the receding night 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 in Gardens they will question 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
