Nay, and by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 except those of the right hand 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As if they were startled donkeys - 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
