Nay, by the Moon 32 And the night when it departs, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 a warning to mortal man 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens they will question 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
