No! By the moon 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 about the guilty ones: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
