No, by the moon! 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 a warning to mortal man 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
