Nay! By the moon 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 it is a warning to man, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 About the criminals, 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
