No, by the moon! 32 by the retreating night, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning for people -- 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 except those of the right hand 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 about the sinners. 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
