No, by the moon! 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 it is a warning to man, 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
