Nay, by the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
