By the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 a warning to humans, 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except those on the right side. 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
