No! By the moon 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 in Gardens they will question 40 From the guilty. 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until death approached us". 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
