▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay, and by the moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 a warning to humans, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
