No, by the moon! 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 Warn the men. 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 we fed not the needy, 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
