No, by the moon! 32 By the night when it departs. 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 except the people of the right hand 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
