Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
