Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
