Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes. 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
