Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
