Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
