Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 even though he might make up excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 for, behold, it is for Us to gather it [in thy heart,] and to cause it to be read [as it ought to be read]. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
