Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And agony is heaped on agony; 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
