Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
