Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
