Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 even though he might make up excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
