Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ NAY! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection! 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
