Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ NAY! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection! 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
