Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 Wherefore when We recite it, follow thou the reciting thereof. 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
