Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
