Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 To your Lord then will be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
