Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 But [on that Day,] when the eyesight is by fear confounded, 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
