Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
