Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
