Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
