Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
