Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
