Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon darkens 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
