Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30
