Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 Others will be despondent, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
