Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
